A Harvest of Community at Powell Farm

There's something pretty special about seeing a community come together on a farm in the fall.
More than 30 volunteers recently gathered at Powell Farm for its first-ever public volunteer event, spending the afternoon harvesting pumpkins that will soon be part of Cranberry Township's Great Pumpkin Festival.
Organized by the Cranberry Conservancy, the pumpkin harvest offered volunteers a chance to experience Powell Farm in a new way while contributing to an event that brings hundreds of people together each fall.
But the day was about more than pumpkins.
It marked an exciting first step toward creating opportunities for the community to connect with Powell Farm, a property with the potential to become a place to learn, volunteer, explore, and experience agriculture right here in Cranberry Township.
The Cranberry Foundation is proud to support efforts that help connect our community with places like Powell Farm and create opportunities for residents to play an active role in shaping Cranberry Township's future.
